I used to be the ultimate rule follower. I went to an amazing medical school, completed my OBGYN residency and maternal-fetal medicine fellowship in NYC, then spent 17 years working at my hometown community hospital. I loved what I did.
But over time, I watched the system start to fail the women I cared for—and their doctors too. Then the pandemic hit, and everything accelerated. When I developed a complex mystery illness myself and experienced firsthand how dismissive the medical system could be, something clicked. I couldn't keep working within a broken system. I had to create something different.
That's when I realized I could actually help more women through social media than I ever could in a traditional practice. It was way out of my comfort zone, but I kept showing up anyway. I learned Instagram, TikTok, and then took on my biggest leap of faith: Writing a book. You'll get it next October :)
Now my mission is to create the safe space I wish existed when I was struggling—a place where women get the tools to ask the right questions, trust their gut, and feel confident advocating for themselves. Think of me as your doctor best friend, giving you the real talk about women's health issues nobody prepared us for.
